The first time was in 2008, now for the second time, the Volkswagen group has awarded GROB do Brasil the prestigious accolade of Best Supplier of the Year in the Investment Goods category. The company’s outstanding achievements in supplying a production line for engine blocks to the VW’s Brazilian works have been assessed and the reward duly granted.

It is tradition for the GROB sales team to answer the call of the trade fair every May and travel to Moscow. It is here that the XIth International Exhibition of Equipment, Machinery and Tools for the Metalworking Industry, Metalloobrabotka for short, will be held from May 24 - 28. This will be the third event in the GROB trade fair programme for 2010.

The G550 made its first official appearance in public the METAV trade fair in Düsseldorf, and was met with enthusiastic approval. The new five-axis machining center was clearly a major draw for visitors to the GROB stand. The G550 thus represents yet another technological milestone, and reinforces GROB’s position in the standard machine business.

On January 12,  2010, GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG became the holder of the AEO  (Authorized Economic Operator) Certificate. This status is only awarded to particularly trustworthy and reliable companies, who are then entitled to certain simplifications with customs clearance procedures throughout Europe.  AEO certification will increasingly become a basic requirement for the movement of goods internationally.
