The smallest package of pure technology
Compact and rigid design, modulare structure, optimal visibility and accessibility to the working area. State-of-the-art GROB technology for highest dynamics and machine rigidity with optimal flexibility and high economic efficiency. These are the advantages of the GROB standalone universal machining centers.
Horizontal spindle position
An optimal chip discharge is achieved in conjunction with the arrangement of the workpiece axes. Our universal machining centers offer the largest Z stroke as opposed to comparable machines. The horizontal spindle position gives the machine maximum stability.
The machine bed as well as the Y column and the cross-slide are inherently rigid welded constructions. The Y-slide and the swiveling/rotary table housing are cast iron structures. The standalone machining centers are positioned and aligned on three leveling elements. Two other leveling elements provide additional stability.
Three linear and two rotary axes enable 5-sided machining as well as 5-axis simultaneous interpolation. The universal machining centers therefore offer the highest possible degree of freedom: A-axis 225 degrees; B-axis 360 degrees.
High economic efficiency
Standalone machining centers are, as all machines of the G-series, optimally suitable for wet and dry machining. Their compact design lends the machine maximum stability and requires only very little floor space.
A pallet changer and /or a pallet magazine are available for automatic workpiece change. Depending on the machine size, the number of tool pockets can be extended by an additional tool magazine to a quantity of up to 329 items.
