Highly modern Technology and Application Center (TAC)
The Technology and Application Center in Mindelheim is part of the sales department for the GROB standalone machining centers. Equipped with most versions of the GROB standalone machine series, sample test machining of workpieces from all areas of the machining industry can be performed in response to the most demanding inquiries. GROB technicians test feasibility, create time studies, program and simulate any workpiece machining.
State-of-the-art CAD/CAM systems and simulation software are used for the programming and simulation of the workpieces, so that even complex geometries and surfaces can be demonstrated. Demonstration machines in the sizes G 350 and G 550 are available, not only with hydraulic units but also as hydraulic-free models, both with Siemens and with Heidenhain control systems. All usual tool brands are used for the machining operations, and there is the possibility of machining with coolant, minimal quantity lubrication or dry.
Customer workpieces can be machined in a variety of materials such as grey cast iron, steel, aluminum, titanium, synthetic materials, carbon fiber materials and other possible combinations. The TAC is equipped for long-term optimizations and process simulations for automated production facilities. Demonstration centers and showrooms are also available at the GROB subsidiaries in Brazil, the USA, China and Mexico.
