Standard machines

Preconditions

In order to be able to operate a GROB machining center, the customer personnel should
comply with the following preconditions:

1.1 Operating personnel

• Knowledge of accident prevention regulations, work safety, environmental protection
• Knowledge of working with manufacturing documents such as drawings, stock lists, tool layouts
• Knowledge of the function of automatically operating machine tools
• Knowledge of the control in use
  (possibly the participation in a basic course at the control’s supplier would be necessary)

1.2 NC programmer

• Knowledge of working with manufacturing documents such as drawings, stock lists, tool layouts
• Knowledge of the function of automatically operating machine tools
• Basic knowledge of NC programming
• Experience in operating a GROB machining center
  or
• Operator training at GROB

1.3 Maintenance staff - Electrics

• Well-founded electrotechnical knowledge
• Basic knowledge of drive technology
• Basic knowledge of automatic control engineering
• Basic knowledge of digital control technology
• Knowledge of the control in use and its components
• Basic knowledge of programming the control system used
• Experience in the maintenance of automatic machine tools
• Experience in the diagnosis of faults and their causes

1.4 Maintenance staff - Mechanics

• Fundamental mechanical knowledge
  (metal working sector, metal-cutting sector)
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Basic knowledge of lubrication methods
  (lubricants, lubrication schedules)
• Experience in the maintenance of automatic machine tools
• Experience in the diagnosis of faults and their causes
