intec expectations met in full : GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG
Many initial contacts, even with new target groups, and a keen interest in GROB's entire product portfolio. The 14th intec, the trade fair for manufacturing, tool and special-purpose machine construction in Leipzig, Germany, fully lived up to expectations.

More than 21,000 visitors, mainly from eastern Germany, but also from eastern Europe, paid a visit to the four-day intec trade fair in Leipzig. Peter Hermanns, GROB's sales manager with responsibility for universal machines, summed up the event as follows: "We had many expert visitors to our stand. Many of them were people who were already familiar with GROB, but there were also many new potential customers. This enabled us to meet this exhibition's main objective, namely raising awareness of GROB and its product portfolio in the ‘universal machine‘ sector." One important consideration for Hermanns is the fact that intec is becoming more than a national exhibition. It now has a large catchment area extending into  eastern Europe.

Rated positively by visitors to the stand was the idea of a joint trade fair presence with GROB and their agents, FHL Werkzeugmaschine Vertrieb Ludewig. For the first time visitors had the chance to speak one-to-one with both their contacts and with official representatives. "For us it was the ideal scenario, as at this trade fair we were able to show our clients how closely associated we are with GROB.” Günter Ludewig, owner of FHL Werkzeugmaschinen Vertrieb Ludewig, pointed to some important synergies: "This proximity creates additional trust, which is an important criterion in the machine tool business." Peter Harmanns added: "And we always benefit from these direct customer contacts.  Meetings take place at which we can talk with potential clients, not only about the benefits of our products, but we also get to know very clearly their wishes and expectations." So GROB's trip to the intec in Leipzig paid off for a second time.
