Touch probe

Target group:

  • Specifically for NC programmers
  • Individuals who optimize process quality through program modifications

 

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of NC programming
  • Knowledge of handling production documents, including drawings, bills of material, tool layouts and process sheets

 

Duration:

  • 1 day for reference measurement via touch probe for heat compensation
  • 2 days for reference measurement via touch probe for heat compensation and measuring task on the part in one operation

 

Contents:

  • Familiarization with safety instructions
  • Handling the touch probe
  • Explanation of the program structures of subroutines
  • Influence of process-optimized operating sequences
  • Evaluation of measurement results

 

Learning objective:

  • Quality optimization of the part via touch probe without external measuring systems

NC Programming (GROB-specific programming)

Target group:

  • Specifically for NC programmers
  • Also recommended for persons who optimize process quality through program modifications


Requirements: 

  • NC basic course or equivalent knowledge 
  • Knowledge of the functioning of automated machine tools
  • Knowledge of handling production documentation, including drawings, bills of material, tool layoutsn

  • Program management system
  • Structure of machining programs

  • Autonomous modification to machining programs (without touch probe)
  • Accomplishing quality optimizations

Operation

  • Specifically for operators
  • Also recommended for maintenance personnel, depending on their tasks

  • 90 % theory, 10 % practice

  • 4 days

 

Course composition: 

  • 70 % theory, 30 % practice

  • Using GROB diagnostics
  • Functional description
  • Diagnosis of the function diagram
  • Alarms and messages
  • Tool for processing the "FDUtil" diagrams
  • Tool for processing the "GenAlarm" diagrams
  • Basic knowledge for processing diagrams
  • Processing generated data in PLC and HMI
  • Practical exercises such as inserting/changing criteria, actuators, functions and sequence

  • Fault analysis and the correct approach to machine malfunctions
  • In-depth knowledge of GROB diagnostics functions and planning

Mechanical maintenance

Target group:

  • Specifically for mechanical maintenance engineers

 

Requirements:

  • Well-founded training on mechanical systems
  • Fundamental principles of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems (lubricants, lubrication diagrams)
  • Experience of maintaining automated machine tools
  • Experience of diagnosing faults and their causes
