Electromobility – solutions for the future of tomorrow

In the field of electromobility, GROB will present its technologies for the industrial series production of electric drive systems. Among other things, models of production lines for the manufacture of battery cells, modules, and packs. In addition, parts such as stators, rotors, and battery cells will be used to illustrate the high demands on precision, quality, and process reliability in modern manufacturing. Experts will be on hand for personal discussions and to provide information on current developments, manufacturing strategies, and specific implementation options.

The concepts presented stand for scalable production with high efficiency and stable processes and are increasingly being used in new fields of technology such as humanoid robots and drone systems, whose electric drive systems must meet comparable requirements.

Production solutions for humanoid robotics and drone systems

Production concepts for humanoid robots and drone systems – two fields of technology with rapidly growing industrial requirements – are therefore another focus of the in-house exhibition.

For humanoid robotics, GROB develops customized production solutions for the task of machining complex structural and joint components, as well as for actuator and battery assembly lines, right through to complete, integrated production systems. Flexible assembly lines enable customers to scale from small quantities to large series production.

The exhibits on display illustrate how these technologies are used in practice: a humanoid robot and a robot dog demonstrate the technical requirements of modern robotics systems and bridge the gap between manufacturing technology and the actual end product.

In the field of drone systems, the focus is on high-precision CNC machining centers for safety-relevant structural and housing components as well as customer-specific actuator and electric motor assembly lines. Supplemented by automated battery assembly solutions, this results in integrated production systems for powerful and reliable energy systems. The combination of tasks such as machining, assembly, automation, and digital solutions enables economical and scalable manufacturing concepts for different drone platforms.

Building on 100 years of experience in conventional machining, assembly, and automation, GROB supports its customers from the prototype phase to scalable series production.

Semiconductor: Precision for the semiconductor industry

GROB is tapping into another strategic growth area with solutions for the semiconductor industry. High-precision CNC machining and automation solutions for demanding semiconductor components are presented – from prototypes to series production. The manufacturing systems enable micrometer accuracy, stable processes, and cleanroom-compatible production conditions.

5-axis universal machining centers with high structural stability form the basis for precise and reliable manufacturing. Complementary automation solutions support cost-effective production from batch size one to series production. Digital applications for monitoring and data analysis also enable increased transparency and traceability within the production processes.

Another focus is on process development, which is geared toward achieving high productivity with minimal risks and high accuracy. In collaboration with partners, a platform is also being created on which cleaning and quality assurance concepts can be jointly discussed, evaluated, and further developed. The aim is to identify potential contamination risks at an early stage and integrate appropriate measures into the production process.

Holistic approach to industrial manufacturing

By presenting these fields of application, GROB is underlining its claim to offer complete production solutions from a single source – from tasking, assembly, and automation to digital systems and global service. The combination of high vertical integration, process expertise, and technological integration enables economical, scalable, and sustainable production concepts for a wide range of industries.
