Visitors can look forward to numerous live demonstrations that impressively show how precision, efficiency, and flexibility come together in production. "Our goal is to show our customers in a practical way how manufacturing processes can be taken to the next level with innovative machines and automation solutions," emphasizes Christian Müller, Member of the Board GROB-WERKE.

Premiere 1: Milling and turning machine with hydraulic clamping

A new product from GROB at EMO is the G550T 5-axis universal mill-turn machining center with hydraulic clamping system. It is aimed at companies that want to economically manufacture milled and turned components in medium to large quantities. Particular attention has been paid to the integrated sensor technology, which ensures maximum process reliability. The constant clamping pressure is maintained even during turning, guaranteeing consistently high precision with a reduced risk of clamping errors or material deformation"Safety is our top priority. That's why we have additionally equipped the machine with redundant safety checks," says Sebastian Schön, Head of Application Technology at GROB.

Premiere 2: PSS-R900 – the next generation rotary pallet storage system

With the new PSS-R900 rotary pallet storage system, GROB is presenting an automation concept at EMO that significantly increases productivity and utilization. "The PSS-R900enables our customers to make optimum use of their machine capacities and make production processes even more efficient," explains Ralph Birkle, Team Leader Project Planning at GROB-WERKEN.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Maximum productivity through higher output and optimal utilization of machining centers
  • Reduced unit costs thanks to automation and process stability
  • Continuous production through intelligent order planning
  • Setup during production time to avoid downtime

"The flexible configurability of the PSS-R900 is particularly noteworthy," Ralph Birkle continues. Customers can choose between integrating one or two machining centers to optimally adapt production efficiency. In addition, the system allows for individual storage configurations with or without pallet tower storage (PTS), depending on the specific requirements of the production environment. The variable pallet capacity allows for flexible adjustment between 15 and 32 pallet spaces, so that the system can be easily tailored to different needs.

Premiere 3: The G400 – compact, powerful, versatile

With the G400, GROB is expanding its portfolio in the field of 4-axis universal machining centers. The machine combines a robust design with dynamic processes and high productivity—ideal for industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering, die and mold industry, and energy technology. The G400 is particularly impressive in aluminum machining, for example in components for e-mobility  such as stator housings. The machine concept is based on a 500x500 mm pallet, but thanks to its generous travel paths, it can also carry out the task of machining significantly larger components. Optionally available are a pallet changer, up to 60 tool pockets, and various HSK-A63 spindles that can be tailored to the customer's specific applications.

Thanks to its compact design, the G400 requires little floor space and can be integrated both as a stand-alone machine and in production lines. Flexibility is also provided by the option of automatic loading from the front or from above via a linear gantry. "With the G400, we are focusing on an excellent price-performance ratio: high productivity, simple operation, and low maintenance costs – while maintaining the high quality you expect from GROB," summarizes Christian Müller.

With the new clamping hydraulics, the PSS-R900 and the G400, GROB is presenting several world premieres at EMO 2025. Once again, the Bavarian machine manufacturer is demonstrating how productivity, precision, and flexibility can be optimally combined in manufacturing.
