At this year's EMO in Hanover, GROB-NET4Industry will focus on the seamless integration of SAP into production. With its MES/MOM system developed specifically for SAP users, GROB offers companies a lean yet highly efficient solution for controlling conventional machining production with maximum transparency and efficiency.

"Our goal is to provide SAP customers with a production system that reduces complexity while increasing efficiency," explains Benedikt Gundling, Product Manager for Digital Products at GROB. "With our browser-based interface, SAP is not only usable in manufacturing, but above all, easy to use."

Thanks to deep integration with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA), central production data is secured, visualized, and evaluated. GROB relies on existing SAP structures such as role concepts and user management to significantly reduce maintenance effort. Whether maintenance, quality, or order feedback—the application can be used flexibly on a wide variety of end devices.

From MES to comprehensive MOM system

With the GROB MOM system, the company goes one step further: as an extension of the MES, it covers the entire production organization – from planning and control to optimization. Machine data integration, which is independent of the machine manufacturer, links process, material, and workpiece data, enabling not only comprehensive traceability of parts, but also in-depth analysis and control of production.

Tried and tested and continuously developed

"An MES is only strong if it grows under real conditions," emphasizes Gundling. "We have been using our system in our own production facilities for over ten years and are continuously developing it further – together with feedback from our customers."

The result: an intelligent production system that controls production lines in real time, tracks parts seamlessly, and makes machine data directly accessible. With serialization, seamless system integration, and maximum transparency, the GROB MES/MOM becomes the digital nervous system of production—efficient, scalable, and future-proof.
