North American connection
Due to its optimal location, the North American GROB plant in Bluffton/Ohio is not only the bridge to the North American market, but also an ideal point of contact for the "Big Three“ of the American automotive industry Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors. Hence, GROB Systems Inc. plays an important role in the GROB production network and in the second largest automotive market of the world.
Machining centers, G-modules, special machining units and above all assembly lines and ancillary assembly equipment are produced, assembled and commissioned to operation in Bluffton.
Apart from the North American market, GROB Bluffton mainly serves customers in Mexico and Canada. But machines have also been delivered to Germany, the People's Republic of China, South Africa and even Uzbekistan by GROB Bluffton within the framework of the GROB production network.
About 560 employees currently work at the GROB factory in Bluffton. The production area of over 20,000 m² (215,000 square feet) has been extended to about 36,000 m² (387,000 square feet) at the beginning of this year. After the great financial crisis of 2008, the American automotive industry is again investing in machinery. Sales have boomed, thus creating excellent future prospects for the American GROB subsidiary.
