At the annual "Honda Indirect Procurement Supplier Conference" in Powell, Ohio, Honda paid great tribute to GROB Systems for its performance in a current cylinder head line project with the "Special Recognition Award".

Every year, HONDA honors the best suppliers to its American plants in the "Special recognition", "Outstanding value and performance excellence" and "Supplier of the year" categories. This year, GROB Systems received the "Special Recognition Award" for the first time for its outstanding performance in a current cylinder head line project. At HONDA's request, the machine line was equipped with control systems from FANUC.

A total of 22 suppliers received awards at the ceremony on June 14, 2019. Christian Grob, GROB Supervisory Board Chairman, together with Michael Hutecker, CEO of GROB Systems, received the award in person. "The HONDA Award in America is a great honor for us, not only as testimony to our achievements in the USA, but also because of its inspiring appeal on other international markets," said a delighted Christian Grob at the award ceremony. "We are especially proud to have received, after many years of hard work, our first award from a Japanese OEM."

After being awarded the "Supplier of the Year Award" by General Motors and the "ABF Supplier Award" by FORD, the HONDA Award now marks GROB's third honor in the USA in the same month.
