For the fifth time in a row, and the eleventh time overall, GROB-WERKE was honored by General Motors as best supplier of 2016 at the 25th award ceremony, held on 31 March in Orlando, Florida.

This is GROB’s fourth award this year, following the ‘Supplier Award’ presented by China’s SAIC-General Motors Co. Ltd, the Excellent Supplier Award from VW-FAW in Dalian, China, and the Excellent Supplier Entry award from Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain Co. Ltd. (VW-PT).

GROB-WERKE maintains a ‘rewarding’ partnership with General Motors in the truest sense of the word. At the end of March, the company was once again rewarded with the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award. GROB-WERKE received this honor from General Motors in the years 1994 to 1999, and has now received it every year since 2012.

This award has a long tradition at General Motors, honoring the best suppliers – those who go beyond just meeting the expectations of the company, who create special value or distinguish themselves through particularly innovative technologies. This year a total of 118 of the best GM suppliers from 15 countries were recognized. The winners of the Best Supplier Award are selected by a jury composed of representatives of various GM business areas such as purchasing, development, quality management, production or logistics.

In addition to product and delivery quality, selection criteria also include service and reliability in the course of business.

‘Of course, at GROB we’re always pleased to be recognized with awards and tributes from our customers’, GROB Supervisory Board Chairman Christian Grob said at the award ceremony. ‘The GM award is also confirmation of the consistency of our work.’
