From May 10th to 12th, 2022, GROB-WERKE will present itself at the CWIEME (Coil Winding, Insulation and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition) in Berlin in Hall 1.2B, Stall 12B10-C11 as a global player in the field of electromobility, especially with regard to the manufacture of the electric powertrain systems.
Process step in GROB electromobility

CWIEME is the world's largest and leading electromobility trade fair, which is also held annually in America and Asia with its partner trade fairs in Shanghai and Chicago. GROB-WERKE celebrated its premiere at the CWIEME in Berlin five years ago, when it was still in partnership with its former subsidiary, the Italian company DMG meccanica. The acquisition of DMG meccanica (2017) and the establishment of GROB Italy (2018) resulted in the fifth GROB production plant in Pianezza in northern Italy. Completion of its currently last expansion stage in this January established the urgently necessary capacities for the international electromobility business in the field of self-driving technology.

GROB as the world's leading manufacturer in the field of e-mobility

With its machines and systems, GROB-WERKE can now cover the entire powertrain of fully electric vehicles. For this purpose, four essential technologies were defined at GROB to offer and produce solutions for the international automotive industry. This includes machines and systems for producing electric drives, battery modules and battery packs. A technical laboratory for battery cell production has been built to meet the prerequisite for technical implementation and enable the timely provision of additional large-scale production systems for battery cells for the European market.

Based on its many years of experience in developing production- and assembly lines for the automobile industry, GROB continues to invest heavily in fuel cell technology and other new innovative solutions. The enterprise invested in an in-house testing laboratory with electrical test station, a geometric measurement laboratory, a CT machine, a laser welding system, and an X-ray machine. This allows GROB to directly test the most diverse processes with the highest technical requirements, to develop these processes further, and to optimize them immediately. With its extensive range of products in the field of electromobility, GROB has established itself as a reliable partner of the automotive industry for versatile approaches to solutions.
