As part of the industrial Special Showcase of the Federal Republic of Germany at the EXPOMAQ 2016 in León, Mexico, GROB-WERKE will participate for the first time with a stand in the German Pavilion, displaying a G350 5-axis universal machining center.

Mindelheim/León. From April 12-15, Germany as a partner of the EXPOMAQ in León, will sponsor the 2,500 m² German Pavilion under the motto “German High Tech in Metal Working”. Likewise, GROB-WERKE will be have a presence at the pavilion with a 120 m² stand (number 901).

A two-day symposium will accompany the EXPOMAQ. About 250 participants are expected. “Mexico is considered the Eldorado of automotive companies”, stated Jochen Nahl, GROB Head of Sales and Distribution (sales, project development, project management, marketing) regarding the locational advantages of Mexico. Mr. Nahl is also the head of the VDW exhibitor’s organization of the German Industrial Showcase. “In recent years almost all the large automakers have invested heavily in the production sites by expanding existing production facilities and constructing new plants”. This continued growth in Mexico is reason enough to show our colors more strongly, since the supplier industry has likewise greatly expanded.

GROB Mexico is presenting a G350 exhibition machine
GROB Mexico will present at its stand a G350 with a Siemens 530 iTNC control system and a spindle offering a remarkable output of 28,000 rpm, 63 Nm, 53 kW (40% ED). The machine will demonstrate 5-axis high-performance milling of a structural component from the aerospace industry made of high-strength aluminum. This production process features high dynamics of all axes, providing short machining times as well as 5-axis simultaneous milling with low compensatory movements thanks to optimal table kinematics. A further advantage of this machining process is its high flexibility, since finishing can be completed in only one clamping operation due to the great swivel range in A (240°).

GROB service and sales branch in Mexico
Since 2000, GROB-WERKE has been represented in Mexico by its own subsidiary. Originally GROB Mexico S.A. de C.V. was established as a service office in Saltillo. After ten highly-successful years with constant growth, GROB Mexico was able to move its branch office to Querétaro in 2010. Three years later, the newly-built headquarters in Santiago de Querétaro celebrated its grand opening as an exhibition and service building. The constant growth of GROB Mexico is the prime example of the high dynamism of the automotive and supplier industry in Mexico. Likewise GROB Mexico is counting on continued growth in 2016.
